NEW 4-Day Hidden Valley of Hoang Su Phi

Share

Featuring some of the country’s most striking scenery, including the terraced rice fields in Hoang Su Phi District that are listed as Vietnam’s National Heritage and a scenic drive to the enclave of the Flower Hmong ethnic minority people in Bac Ha, this 4-day exploration of northern Vietnam showcases two of the country’s greatest assets – its natural beauty and people.

You will also have the chance to observe the local cultures when visiting the colourful mountain markets. Held in different places on different days of the week, the markets serve as the weekly meeting place for locals to socialise. Depending on your days, the following markets can be visited: Vinh Quang Market in Hoang Su Phi on Sundays, Can Cau market near Bac Ha on Saturdays, Bac Ha market on Sundays and Coc Ly market near Bac Ha on Tuesdays.

Through the journey you’ll enjoy staying in unique accommodation, like the Pan Hou Village Ecolodge, hidden in a lost valley at the heart of the High Song Chay mountains. Built in a traditional architectural style using local materials, facilities include a cosy restaurant and bungalow with 23 rooms that include private bathrooms powered by a solar panel system. Located at 1,440 metres above sea level, the ecolodge does not need air conditioning as the temperature never reaches high levels.

The best time to visit the terraced fields are during rice harvest season from late September to early October or in May and June when farmers water the fields to prepare for new crops.
